Here are some of the small things I’ve been enjoying in life lately:
READING One Thousand Gifts, by Ann Voskamp (see this post), the links from this post at Tomboy Style, and Simple Things magazine.
VISITING The Cotswolds Wildlife Park 🙂 I really recommend this as a day out: it is reasonably priced, child and dog friendly, with lots of happy and healthy looking animals. You can get quite close to the animals, too, which I loved. Also: my lovely home county of North Devon, which I posted about here.
WATCHING Jo’s new fish.
EATING Andrew’s yummy Easter roast dinner, and Thai takeaway.
BUYING some patterned rice bowls from The Wanderer Collection, a new table from a spontaneous trip to a second hand furniture shop we drove past, and a ‘daisy tree’! It definitely feels like Spring in our household!
ADMIRING my beautiful new desk, which Andrew made for me out of a load of old crates. We’re now working on some better book storage for me.
WEARING checks, checks and more checks. My mum gave me some of her old tops, which I’m loving!
MAKING new playlists on my Kindle to use for all the car journeys I’ve been doing. This involved refinding lots of old favourites like Rhythm of Love by the Plain White T’s, Somewhere Over the Rainbow (the Israel Kamakawiwo’ole version) and Little Wing, by Jimi Hendrix. Any other song recommendations for me?
LISTENING to Bob Dylan’s Make you Feel my Love, after hearing Adele’s version in the Download chart and wondering what the original was like.
FINDING INSPIRATION FROM taking photos of my sister Jo, dancing, which are now on my Pinterest board here.
