This week I’ve been fully embracing my new routine in the Shire! I’ve been…
*Making a lot of cakes, using recipes from Bake a Difference, which I’m selling as part of my new business, Hand and Heart. My favourites so far are the White Chocolate and Walnut Blondies and Auntie Glad’s Lemon Cake.
*Experimenting with new bracelets for my Hand and Heart stall.
*Enjoying going back to childhood and playing on the swings with my sister!
*Drinking Chai Latte, Chai Latte, Chai Latte. In my favourite mug π
*Appreciating slowing down a little, and taking a few moments to rest and appreciate the good stuff, like dog walks and nap time and nail polish.
*Practising discipline in terms of getting to church groups and making time to pray.
*Naming new chickens over at Andrew’s parents’ place.
*Finding freshly laid eggs.
*Listing my aims for this year and next, to keep me focused.
*Eating grilled chicken, pesto potatoes, courgettes and salad. The most satisfying meal ever.
*Looking forward to working with Andrew next week for Old Folding Maps.
*Loving getting a parcel of happy making things from my lovely friend Kate π
*Wearing Maybelline Colour Show nail polish as well as some of their mascara and eye shadow, my latest impulse buys!
*Planning book storage.
*Dreaming of Italy.
*Thankful for family and friends.
